Sant Pau and La Pedrera: a Modernist experience

Two of Barcelona’s best-known Catalan modernist monuments, the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site and La Pedrera, have joined forces to launch a combined visit at a special price. For visitors who are planning to visit the city, this initiative offers a convenient way to explore two major works of Catalan modernist architecture. What’s more, the experience will give them the chance to discover the two great masters of the style, namely the architects Lluís Domènech i Montaner and Antoni Gaudí, whose respective works complement each other.

At the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, which is Domènech’s most important work and the largest modernist site in the world, visitors can find out about the history of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, as well as about the artistic and personal life of Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Meanwhile, Casa Milà, known as La Pedrera, was Gaudí’s last civil work. It’s a unique building, a masterpiece of nature that enables visitors to grasp the scale of this amazing architect’s imagination.
